The von Wattenwyl family, English de Watteville, is a patrician family from Wattenwil BE, later from Thun, which has held the civil rights of the city of Bern since the early 13th century and today belongs to the Gesellschaft zu Pfistern (older line) or the Gesellschaft zum Distelzwang (younger line).
